My inducer is noisy but still running. Is that urgent?

Treat it as a warning. Bearing noise means the motor is on its way out, and when it stops turning fast enough to satisfy the pressure switch the furnace stops heating — which in practice happens on the coldest night of the year. A rattle can also be a loose wheel or debris, which is worth checking before you order.

Do I need the whole assembly or just the motor?

It depends on the model. Some furnaces take a bare motor; many require the complete assembly with housing and wheel, because the wheel is matched to the housing. Send us your model number and we will tell you which one your furnace takes.

Should I replace the gasket at the same time?

Yes. The inducer seals against the heat exchanger, and a leaking gasket lets flue gas escape and drops the draft the pressure switch depends on. Fit a new gasket whenever the inducer comes off.
