The Noritz air thermistor is a high-precision temperature sensor designed to monitor ambient conditions for tankless water heater systems and outdoor heating units. This critical component provides real-time thermal data to the appliance control board, allowing for automated adjustments to combustion and freeze protection sequences. By accurately sensing the surrounding air temperature, the thermistor ensures the system operates efficiently and prevents internal components from freezing in cold climates. If your heating system is experiencing performance fluctuations or reporting temperature-related error codes, replacing a faulty air thermistor can restore reliable operation and protect your equipment from environmental damage.
Our team is happy to help you verify compatibility before you order. We'll confirm it fits your specific furnace model.
